艷陽高照、晴空萬里，每年七、八月夏季暑假，汗流浹背的爸爸、媽媽們趁假期，帶著孩子們出遊。可能在漫漫人龍中等待下一輪的雲霄飛車，可能在滿坑滿谷的人潮中試圖一瞥吉光片羽。但你知道嗎?一場由五到十二歲的孩子們引發的創意革命正在進行，他們用美語腦力激盪、用美語溝通交流、用美語組織規劃、用美語發表專案。就是這樣的暑假，這群孩子發現自己正引領世界；相信自己可以創造未來。 現在教育環境，教者口說，學者耳聽，孩子們被雕塑成知識的鋼鐵巨人，但只能原地佇立、不思不動。<艾力美語>相信「學習」是人、事、物的相遇與對話，特別是語言學習。「暑期全美創客夏令營Summer Maker Camp」，就是<艾力美語>翻轉教育的實踐，透過營造「協同學習」的氛圍，每週針對不同的專題式主題，菁英外籍教師向孩子們分享歐美經驗與思考邏輯，引導孩子們腦力激盪、分享交流。教師與同儕形成新的共學關係，每位孩子都可以在「暑期全美創客夏令營Summer Maker Camp」創造新知識，建構新創意，蛻變成能自我成長的有機體。 在這過程中，美語是一種工具，孩子們必須在「暑期全美創客夏令營Summer Maker Camp」中用美語去思考、創造與交流，試圖去聽、去猜、去表達，不斷地往返嘗試、修正和高密度地使用美語，宛如浸潤在美語學習的精華液中，美語自然而然滲入孩子們細胞。背誦與操練絕不是學習外語的唯一途徑，外國人問路時，我們的孩子能主動站出來回答；遇到看不懂的單字能透過上下文理解文章，即使暫時無法拼寫上千單字，但請記得「學習」是人、事、物的相遇與對話，能學習”用”美語的孩子，外語能力才能有跳躍性的成長。 暑期營每一次的主題設計，都希望讓孩子們發揮自由創意、親自實踐、建立獨立思考的能力。2016年夏天，孩子運用機械原理，在車輛、船舶與航太科學領域，腦力激盪、交流討論並且設計製作，最後像個小小賈伯斯，專案發表呈現；2017年，「暑期全美創客夏令營Summer Maker Camp」即將帶孩子「創造未來」與成為「未來領袖」!第一個月(7/3~7/25) 「創造未來」主題營隊，孩子必須與他的小夥伴們發揮無限想像力，描繪未來的生活，挑戰可能的問題，發揮點子，設計超未來的日常用品、建築物、交通工具與超級機器人並建造出來!第二個月(7/31~8/25)「未來領袖」主題營隊，孩子與小夥伴們則將組成國家領導團隊，決定在哪建國、組成哪類政府、發展經濟體系以及完成國家建設並且與其他團隊比一比。更多訊息請至艾力官網: alexacademy.com.tw，或來電【光復校】02-2763-7060 【新生校】 02-2356-3780洽詢。
